OBJECTIVES

To gather national and international experts in Heart Failure to provide valuable insights as well as present and discuss rich scientific contents on a wide variety of topics in Heart Failure.

  • Examine relevant new findings pertaining to heart failure prevention and epidemiology
  • Describe the evolution of treatment approaches for patients with heart failure with reduced and preserved ejection fractions.
  • Describe new potential strategies for the utilization of biomarkers in improving patient outcomes in heart failure and specify the importance of biomarkers in the evaluation and management of heart failure.
  • Review the current state of advanced heart failure management, including mechanical support devices and transplants for end-stage heart failure treatment.
  • Provide an overview of currently available (interventional and surgical) treatment options for heart failure caused by specific valvular pathologies.
  • To discuss optimizing transitions of care and reducing hospital readmissions by developing multidisciplinary heart failure programs.
  • Identify and discuss the latest cardiac imaging developments.
  • Analyze the role of implantable cardioverter defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy in the treatment of heart failure.
  • Describe the latest developments in the management of heart failure in selected groups of patients (pregnant women and those with cardiac amyloid).
